A Personal & Professional Journey into Healing

About Emily

My journey into counselling began through my own experiences with anxiety and mental health challenges. For many years, I lived with anxiety, feeling stuck in patterns I didn’t fully understand and unsure how to move forward. Everything changed when I found the right therapeutic support and began learning not only how to manage my experiences, but how to better understand myself and my nervous system.

That experience was life-changing. It showed me the power of feeling genuinely heard, supported, and understood — and it inspired my passion for helping others navigate their own path toward healing and emotional wellbeing.

I believe counselling should feel safe, compassionate, and tailored to the individual. You do not need to have everything figured out before seeking support.

Qualifications & Professional Development

I began my formal training through the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC), completing a Diploma of Counselling alongside further training in Internal Family Systems (IFS).

I am currently completing my final year of a Bachelor of Counselling and have also completed training in Art Therapy and Advanced EFT Practitioner Training, continuing to expand my knowledge in trauma-informed and holistic therapeutic approaches.

I am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and remain committed to ongoing professional development to provide supportive, evidence-informed care tailored to each individual client.

Creating a Safe Space for Healing

Through EDL Counselling, my goal is to provide a calm, supportive, and compassionate space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward greater emotional wellbeing, healing, and self-understanding.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, support is available and you do not need to face it alone.
