How EFT (Tapping) Has Helped Me: A Personal Journey of Healing and Growth

Before beginning my Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), or "Tapping," training, I had no prior experience or understanding of the practice. I was drawn to study EFT because it works with the subconscious mind—a space I’ve always been passionate about exploring.

What surprised me most is how something so simple could be so powerful. EFT is easy to learn and apply, yet the results I’ve experienced have been nothing short of transformative. Throughout this journey, I’ve had cognitive shifts and uncovered memories and unresolved traumas that I hadn’t realized were influencing my daily life. These discoveries weren’t always easy, but they were healing. Through tapping, I’ve worked through self-esteem issues, childhood bullying, and even the lasting effects of sexual abuse.

Today, tapping is a regular part of my daily routine. I use it at night to help me fall asleep, and during the day when I feel anxious, overwhelmed, or even angry. Sometimes, all it takes is a few quiet minutes—yes, even sitting on the toilet!—to complete a few rounds of tapping and reset my nervous system.

EFT has also supported my physical wellness journey. I’ve used it to manage cravings and address unhelpful eating habits, which has contributed to weight loss and a healthier relationship with food.

What I love most about EFT is its versatility. It can be used for a wide range of emotional and physical concerns. For me, it has not only helped me achieve personal goals, but it’s also given me the confidence to establish my own practice and even begin writing blog posts like this one.

If you're curious about EFT or wondering whether it could help you, I encourage you to give it a try. You might be surprised by what’s possible when you tap into your inner healing.
