My journey into counselling

Counselling is a profession I somewhat fell into.
A conversation with my own therapist—who suggested I’d make a great Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner—sparked the beginning of my journey. I learned that I needed a qualification to pursue formal IFS training, so I started researching my options. That led me to enrol in a Diploma of Counselling, followed by a Diploma of Mental Health.
After completing those courses, I began a placement and was later offered a counselling role within an organisation. I loved working as a counsellor with both adults and children. Over the past two years, I’ve undertaken training in various therapeutic modalities and began my Bachelor of Counselling, which will continue to open more opportunities for me.
In November 2024, I attended Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) training—and I fell in love with tapping. It has provided me with profound healing from past trauma and mental health challenges. Through EFT, I’ve also been able to support others on their healing journeys and witness their incredible transformations.
Being on this path has helped me discover my passion. Now, I’m privileged to walk alongside others on their own journeys of healing and transformation.
